new flagpole
Yay!! Today we finally bought a flag pole for our Outback!
A 20′ aluminum telescoping flag pole, complete with a American flag, steel tire mount, PVC sleeve and a gold ball for the top. This flag pole can fly two 3 x 5 flags, has rotating brackets so the flags don’t wrap around the pole and stores at 5 1/2′. The tire mount gives us options as to where we would like to place our flag pole in case of trees or obstructions.
We purchased the flag pole on eBay for $99, seller “APlusChoice”.
We’re just hoping it arrives before we leave for Lake Tahoe!
303 Aerospace Protectant
This stuff is amazing!! We applied 303 Aerospace to our travel trailer this weekend and it looks amazing!
We used it on our tires, wheels, rubber moldings, rubber slide seals, reflectors, lights, rubber around windows, spare tire cover, decals and the whole front cap.
It applies SPF 40 to your RV!
June Vacation
For our 1 year anniversary we wanted to go somewhere we love, so we chose to vacation in Lake Tahoe! We have so many memories of Lake Tahoe with our boat, now it’s time to make some memories with our Outback!
Looking for a campground that can not only accommodate our Outback’s length but allows pets, can be a little challenging in Lake Tahoe. We chose Fallen Leaf Campground in South Lake Tahoe, reviews are awesome and campers seem to have a great time. The campground has 206 well spaced sites with a variety of settings in pine, aspen and fir trees with some large pull through sites, we didn’t get one of those this time, but we will have to take notes for next time!
We will spend 8 days with no hookups which will be a record, as much as I would like to I don’t think we can make it for 8 days without visiting a dump station, so I foresee having to visit one of the nearby campground which thankfully are only about 2 miles down the road. If we used the campground bathrooms I guess we could make it, but I prefer my own private bathroom and shower, after all isn’t that why we bought the trailer? 
We’re counting the days until we’re Lake Tahoe bound!

May 6, 7, 8, 9 Mothers Day weekend
This past Mothers Day weekend we camped at Doran Beach for the very first time. I was unsure about this campground because a lot of the sites seemed so close to their neighbors and unless we’re camping with friends, we don’t enjoy hearing the conversation in the site next to us. But this trip was booked and paid for this past November and it’s literally only 35-40 minutes from our house…..so off we went..our next adventure!
It was an amazing 4 days and 3 nights! On Saturday, all 5 of our grown up kids came out for a Mothers Day BBQ, what a great time…kids, you make us laugh, how’s that reality show coming along? haha
Yes there was wind, and we even woke up to a bit a rain Sunday morning, but there’s just something to be said about waking up in the morning and viewing the ocean out of every one of the Outback’s east side windows and the fresh sea air!! Amazingly beautiful and I know the following photos just won’t do it justice!
We had a hard time leaving Doran we had such a good time, but we have reservations in August, so we’ll be visiting our beachfront property again soon!
Arrival Day at Doran Beach..taken from the doorway of our Outback..in the photo is the Bodega Harbor Jetty, so we had a bonus getting to watch all the fishing boats and sailboats leave in the morning and come back in the evening!
There's nothing like having beachfront property for 4 days, except for having beachfront property for 4+ days..

Surprise, we’re at Lawsons Landing once again! This time we chose an area away off by ourselves..there were a few tent campers nearby..
